Wheels: cherry wood rims, spokes & fellows built as a wheelwright would make them.
Frames, crossmembers, all axle components: steel.
Seat: Leather covered.
Piping, Fittings: brass, bronze.
Springs: multileaf, functional, steel.
Flywheels: 2, bronze.
Engine and pump: brass and bronze; run under pressure for approx. 2 hrs.
Boiler: copper, hydrostatically tested to 100 psi; never fired.
