At Cabin Fever Expo 2008 there was a Raffle of a Retro Fitted CNC Machine built during the show.  Attendees were able to watch a milling machine be converted to a CNC machine at the Show, by using an X2 mill donated by Travers Tool Co., along with a servo motor kit donated by IM Service to create a small CNC machine. The machine was raffled off Sunday afternoon and the winner of that machine was Ben James of Pottstown PA. All proceeds of the raffle went to the York County Heritage Trust's Agricultural Industrial  Museum.
CNC RAFFLE
During your visit to CABIN FEVER EXPO & AUCTIONS, be sure to step back in time at the Dills Tavern and Plantation booth.  There you will find craftsmen & women dressed in colonial garb demonstrating the skills our forefathers used to build this country.

See how the rifling process made Pennsylvania firearms the most accurate of their time,  homes, barns and out-buildings were often timber framed.  Wake up and smell the wood chisel to cut a mortise and tenon.

The Wheelwright Shop & Barn at Dills Tavern is a living history museum where you can see, hear and create the sounds of blacksmithing, carpentry, paint making, tinsmithing, knife making and rifle building.  Farming techniques like butchering, threshing, cider pressing and maple syrup making are demonstrated.  Open hearth cooking and baking are taught on our wood fired oven.  Domestic chores like candle making, spinning, weaving, quilting and sewing are demonstrated in the Maple Shades Barn.  In our gardens, fruits and vegetables are grown.  Tobacco leaf becomes the wrappers of our hand-rolled cigars.  The 18th century man had little free time, but when he did he drank spirits he produced on his own still.  Visit our booth and see an early potstill and hear the story of whiskey in the US.  On display is a scale model still we will use to demonstrate whiskey and spirit production.  Dills Tavern and Plantation is history you can see, hear, smell, touch and taste.  Stop by and get your hands dirty in our history.
